We are excited to offer a 3-day workshop program based on the research and prompt of The Female Role Model Project. We go to art centers, schools, companies and communities to open up dialogue; we ask who our role models and heroines are, how they affect us and how we can reprogram our psyche to create new role models that express our highest potential. The workshop leads us into self exploration, theatrical embodiment, interplay and improvisation with other participants and character interview sessions. It begins with a deconstruction of the self, rebuilds us through a female initiation rite and culminates with a public performance.

It is not a requirement that the students believe in the spiritual elements as a reality.  Rather, it can be done as a performative act to interrogate the liminality of female identity.  It reconnects the sacred and the profane.
